Flood Relief: Ko Kret

Organization:

Thanks Giving Home Foundation

Executive Summary:

Flooding has been a major challenge across Thailand in 2025, with extreme rainfall and overflowing rivers affecting multiple regions nationwide. In Koh Kret, Nonthaburi, flooding unfortunately occurs annually, but this year was the worst seen in many years. Entire communities were submerged for weeks, with some families facing water levels up to their shoulders.

On Sunday, November 23, Khiri Reach provided essential food relief to 360 households across several affected areas on Koh Kret. Our support focused on donating dry food items such as instant noodles and canned fish, which were packed into relief bags and distributed directly to families in need.

Working in close collaboration with Thanks Giving Home and other community partners, the Khiri Reach team visited three main piers to distribute food. Local residents, including motorbike taxi drivers, stepped in to help deliver supplies to elderly residents who could not leave their homes due to high water levels.
