The Project:

The Tha Yet Chaung Village Middleschool in Taikkyi Township provides education for 483 students from kindergarten to Grade 9. It is currently supported by 13 teachers. For many children in the community, the school is an important place to learn, develop their interests and build the foundations for their future.

Khiri Reach is supporting the school in creating a safer and more supportive learning environment for its students. Previous and ongoing support includes access to purified drinking water, improvements to the school library and the planting of trees to create more shade across the school grounds.

The next priority is to further develop the school library and provide students with better access to learning resources. A well-equipped and welcoming library can give children more opportunities to read, explore new ideas and continue learning beyond the classroom.

Donations will help improve the school library and learning environment, giving 483 students and their teachers greater access to the resources and spaces they need to learn, grow and build towards a brighter future.
