Save Subak
Organization:
Save Subak (PT. Bali Sri Organik)
Executive Summary:
Subak is Bali’s traditional communal irrigation system, rooted in the Tri Hita Karana philosophy of balance between humans, nature, and spirituality. Threatened by rapid development and land conversion, this cultural heritage is at risk of disappearing.
Save Subak works to preserve active Subak communities across Bali. Through the Adopt Subak Program, Khiri Reach provides operational funding for two organic rice fields (85 are) in Sangeh Village, managed by the Sri Galih Farmers Community. In 2025, 5 hectares received full Organic Certification, with 15 hectares in the conversion process. The harvest of Mentik Susu rice will be donated to support other Khiri Reach projects in 2026.
