The Project:

Floating waste is a growing challenge for Vietnam’s waterways, threatening aquatic ecosystems, wildlife, and the communities that live along them. Saigon Xanh tackles this problem by installing floating waste barriers that capture rubbish before it moves further downstream, making it easier to collect and remove.

Khiri Reach is contributing USD 3,000 to fund 35 floating waste barriers. Once installed, the barriers will be used continuously to collect waste from targeted waterways, creating a long-term solution to reduce the amount of rubbish entering and moving through the river system. Each barrier has an expected lifespan of approximately 2–3 years
