Empowering Communities and Local Tour Guides Engagement
On April 2024, our Northern Thailand Khiri Reach Ambassadors, Naphat, along with staff from the Chiang Mai Branch office, seized the opportunity presented by the guide training day to develop projects aimed at empowering local communities. This initiative also served to deepen engagement and foster stronger relationships with our local tour guides.
Given the ongoing forest fire in Chiang Mai, dry leaves are, if not the primary fuel source, still a significant part of it. Therefore, the team recognizes that even though small actions may seem insignificant, they can be helpful in some way or another.
During the guide training session, they made the decision to clean the dry leaves along the trails in the local forest. By undertaking this essential task, they not only contribute to fire prevention efforts but also demonstrate our commitment to environmental stewardship and community well-being.
