PROTECTING ASIA’S WILDLIFE

We are committed to supporting the conservation of wildlife across the region.

Wildlife has a fundamental value and contributes to the ecological, genetic, social, economic, scientific, educational, cultural, recreational and aesthetic aspects of sustainable development and human well-being. However, wildlife trafficking in Asia is rampant! Several Southeast Asian countries are acting as supplier, consumer and general import-export hubs for illegal wildlife trade. Furthermore, human encroachment, outdated medical practices and lack of awareness of wildlife regulations are amongst the other threats toward wildlife.

At Khiri Reach, we fight for a region where wildlife in the air, on the land and in the water will be protected.

We acknowledge the fact that poverty is one of the indirect causes, driving local communities to illegally hunt, keep, use or trade wildlife. We wish to engage those communities to show them alternative livelihoods and use their local knowledge/skills for good deeds rather than destruction.
